Flora Gerlai, a Registered Psychotherapist (#008787) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), is the owner and creator of Flora Psychotherapy. She is dedicated and compassionate about helping individuals heal and grow. She creates a safe and supportive space for clients to express themselves and navigate overwhelming life challenges. Flora uses an active, empathetic and detailed approach and believes that all behaviors reflect underlying needs. She works with a diverse range of clients, meeting them where they are in their journey, and collaboratively developing strategies to achieve their therapeutic goals. Flora's techniques are integrative, tailored to the unique needs of each client and draw on various therapeutic models such as Solution-Focused Therapy, Attachment-Based frameworks, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based techniques. Flora is passionate about food, nutrition, and the link between the brain and gut, and the impact our nutrition can have on our mental health. She has completed extensive training and is a Certified Mental Health and Nutrition Clinical Specialist (through PESI/Evergreen Certifications). Flora works carefully alongside Functional Medicine practitioners, Naturopathic Doctors, and if required, dieticians, to best support her clients holistically.
